If you know anything about greek mythology, comparing yourself to the gods is always a hard no. Athena challenged her to a weaving competition, the loser would never be allowed to touch a spindle again. After losing the competition, Arachne was devastated. Either out of pity or kindness, Athena transformed her into a spider so she could continue weaving without breaking her oath.
